What is it?
LM399 /ADR1399 Reference board, Its a little board made which take 16-20V input and Give you really precision 10.0000000V output. So that you can calibrate and check your ADC, Multimeter or any other device which can make use of precision 10.000000V
Reference is very well pre-aged as this chips have quite a bit of initial drift. aging is absolutely necessary to get any meaningful result. Each reference is aged for minimum ~ 4 week (700 Hours ) additional aging can also be requested for a little additional fees to cover costs. There is YouTube video available about aging fixture to age multiple reference at same time.
Why did you make it?
While working in my lab I often need to check my multimeter, ADC circuits and other circuits that needed precise voltage. While working a 32-bit ADC board i decided to quickly make this reference board to test performance of 32-bit ADC.
What makes it special?
Completey open source you can download all PCB file and other source and make your own. its made with Really Precision and stable LM399AH or ADR1399 along with LT1001ACN8, Board will be calibrated to as close as possible to 10V, Using trimming resistors, There are solderable jumpers on the board. Trim pot has been removed as that causes issue with wiper resistance and wiper resistor drift over time, So because of this voltage is not going to be exact 10.00000 but near to that and There will be label on the Encloure mentioning exact Voltage. Top quality Wago connectors for input and output, There is with MOSFET based reverse polarity protection. It has Dual input supply, USB as Backup supply. Hand made in Germany Calibrated with Keithley DMM7510 7.5 Digit multimeter. With 7.5 Digits meter at 10V resolution is 1uV.
There are Two versions available of this board one with LM399AH or with ADR1399
Board size 51mm x 82mm x 19mm
